DEPARTURES. July 28—Southern Cross, s.s., for Gisbomc and Auckland. Pnsseng-ors—Miss Pittams, Messrs Robert Wilson and Gardiner. The Union Company's steamer Southern Cross, Capt. Alhnan, was tendered by the Boojnm with outward mails and passengers at'/o'clock yesterday afternoon, steaming on her course for Gisbornc and Auckland at about. 3 pm. Slio is telegraphed as having arrived at the former port at 7 o'clock this morning. The steamer Wairarapa, Capt. Chatfield, from Melbourne and tho South, which left Wellington at 7.30 last night, was signalled when our report left tho Spit, and would probably have arrived at about 1.1") p.m. She would bo tendered immediately on arrival for mails and passengers by the Boojum, and by the lighter Admiral for her cargo, of which sho has some 80 tons on board for this port. The outward passengers were to bo taken off at 4 p.m., tlic steamer getting away for Gisbornc, Auckland, and tho Bay of Islands shortly afterward.

Tho steamer Maori, Captain Anderson, did not get away for Wairoa last night as was anticipated. The bar, however, at that place is reported to be good, and she will be leaving at 0 a.m. to-morrow. Tho brigantine Enterprise, Captain Bell, has a full load of railway sleepers and sawn timber aboard, and will be leaving en this afternoon's tide for Dunedin.

The steamer Kiwi, Captain James Campbell, was to have left Wellington to-day for Napier and the coast, and is due here on Monday morning. Tho Union Steamship Company's steamer Rotomahnna, from Sydney via the North, loft Auckland at noon yesterday for Melbourne via Southern ports, and will be in our roadstead by daylight to-morrow morning. She will be tendered soon after C a.m. by tho steamer Sir Donald for her cargo, some f)0 tons, and by the launch as usual for mails and passengers, taking those outwards off at 10 a.m.
