PORT OF NAPIER

ARRIVALS. July 20—Sir Donald, s.s., from Moeaugiangi and Arapawanui. 21—Bella, s.s., from Mohaka. 21—To Anau, s.s,, from Giabomo and Auckland. Passongers—Mr and Mrs Ross, Miss Shoppard, Messrs Fordham, Sharland, Kidd, Nolson, Colbock, Hugo, Brasscy, Skelton, Chambers, Smith, Bee, McLean, McNoill, Selwyn, Watt, and two natives.

Tho steamer Sir Donald, Capt.. Quinlan, returned from Moeangiangi and Arapawanui last evening, having successfully landed nor cargo for both places. The Union Steamship Company's steamer To Anau, Capt. McGeo, arrived in tho roadstead at 6 o'clock this morning, and was shortly afterwards tendered by the launch Boojum, the mails and passengers being lauded on tho breastwork by 7 o'clook. The To Anau reports having left Auckland on the 19th instant at noon ; arrived at Gisborne at 1 p.m. on the 20th; left again same day at 6 p.m., and dropped anchor here as abovo. From Auckland to Gisborne experienced strong westerly and north-westorly winds, with fine weather; from Gisborne to arrival light variable ■winds and clear nicy. Her outward paaaengers will bo taken off by tho launch at 2 o'clock this afternoon, the steamer getting away fnr the South shortly afterwards. The steamer Bolla, Capt. Green, returned from Mohaka this forenoon.

Tho departure of the steamer Maori, Capt. Anderson, forWairoa, has been delayed until 10 a.m. on Monday. 'The steamer Fairy did not get away for To Apiti last night, owing to tho southerly wind which oamo up yesterday afternoon. The 8.8. Sir Donald tendered thcTe Anau this morning for her cargo and a horse. Tho Union Company's steamer Tarawera, Capt. Sinclair, will be leaving Wollington at 6 o'clock 10-night, and should arrive hero by midday to-morrow. She will, bo tendered as» usual on arrival for mails and passengers by the Boojum, and by the lighters for her cargo, of which she has some 60 tons for this port. The outward mails and passengers for Sydney, via Gisborne, and Auckland am announced to leavo tho wharf for tho Tarawera at 4 o'clock to-morrow afternoon.

The s.s. Kiwi has taken in a large quantity of wool, tallow, and preserved meats, and is to leave for Wellington at 7 o'clock to-night. Tho p.s. Manaia, is to bo taken up on Northe's slip on Monday next to receive an overhaul, and while she is laid up her placo in the Wairoa trade will probably be taken by the steamer. Tho mail sloanier Zealandia, wtth the English mail, via San Francisco, arrivod at 10 o'clock last night, being three days before the time-table dato. Nelson, This day. On Thursday tho cutter Planet sailed for Motueka, but she became dismasted, and the master ran her ashore near Mouteu Bluff. The men on board reached Motueka yesterday morning. The cuttor is full of water, but hopes are entertainod of getting her off. She had on board about six tons of cargo. CiiEiSTcnuncii, This day. The New Zealand Slipping Company are advised by cablegram that the British King left the Cape of Good Hope on tho 18th instant, en route for Port Chalmers. The Hurunui, which had put back after collision with the Waitara, sailed for Port Chalmers before the 19th instant. Tho ketch Kestral, which ran on to the breakwater at Lyttelton yesterday morning, remains in much the same position. Should she prove not to be bilged she may be got off all right and repaired. Tho loss is ostimatod at .£l5O or £200.
