The Napier Amateur Dramatic Club give their first performance in the Theatro Royal to-night, producing the comedy " Parted," and the farce, "Leave it to Mo."
All performing members are requested to attend the first practice of the Napier Musical Society in St. John's school-room at 8 o'clock to-night. Five education reserves in the town of Napier will be offered for lease by auction, for twenty-one years, in the Council Chamber at 11 a.m. to-morrow.
Tenders for leasing an education reserve in AVaitara block, Pohui survey district, for twenty-one "years, Avill be received at the office "of tho School Commissioners for HaAA'ke's Bay up to noon to-morroAV. Tenders for leasing the Redclyft'c estate for five years must be sent in to Messrs Hoadlcv, Lyon and Co. by noon to-morroAV. The Heretaunga Road Board receives tenders for building a bridge over the old bed of the Ngarnroro at the Longlands crossing, and for forming about 60 chains of Railway road, up to 1 p.m. to-morrow. Persons intending to join the Albion Lodge of Druids are requested to meet Dr. Hitchings at the Caledonian Hotel to-mor-row evening. Mr Monteith sells at the Horse Bazaar on Saturday horses, sheep dogs, and oats. The annual meeting of the Petane Jockey Club Avill be held at the Petane Hotel on Saturday evening, 28th instant. Mistakes and omissions in the electoral rolls of the several ridings in the Hawke's Bay County can be rectified on or before August 10 by applying at the R.M. Court at such time as shall be fixed for the purpose. Messrs J. T. AVood and Co. have commenced business as auctioneers, land and general commission agents, rent and debt collectors, at Hastings.
