BOROUGH PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE.

The Public Works Committee of the Municipal Council held their usual meeting last evening, and agreed to recommend tho Council as follows:—

1. That Sale-street be repaired as recommended by the engineer.

2. That a meter bo placed at the hospital, and that the water supply thereto be charged accordingly.

3. That a tank for surplus tar ho erected on the Gas Company's premises, at a cost not exceeding £10, provided that arrangements can be made with tho Gas Company to this effect. ■

•1. That an offer be made for the purohase of water-pipes from tho Wellington Council, as recommended by the eugineor.

5. That the fence on Marino Parade be repaired temporarily. .
