All protests must be accompanied with a deposit of 5 now, ■which sum shall be forfeited to the funds if tho protest is not sustained. All nominations, acceptance!?, &c, accompanied by the necessary amount in cash, must bo addressed to the secretary, and left at the Criterion Hotel, Napier, not later than 8 p.m. on the several spocified dates.
