July. 14—Columbia, fore-and-aft schooner, for Poverty Bay.

The Union Steamship Company's steamer Manapouri, 1783 tons, Capt. Logan, arrived at the anchorage at about 6.30 this morning from Sydney and the North, and ■was shortly afterwards tendered by the launch Boojum for mails and passengers, and by the ketch Three Brothers for cargo, iome 34 tons. AYe are indebted to Mr L. C. Miller, her purser, for the following report of the steamer's passage : —Sailed from Sydney at 4.30 p.m. on tho sth instant, and passed the Three Kings at 3.30 p.m. on the 9th, arriA-ing at Auckland at 9.50 a.m. on the 10th instant ; experienced fresh south-east winds Avith heaA'y head sea during tho run across ; sailed at 12.30 p.m. on the 12th instant, and arrived at Gisborne at 11.40 am. on the 13th ; sailed again at 7 p.m., arriving hero as above. The Manapouri's outward mails and passengers are to leave the Avharf at 2 o'clock this afternoon, the steamer getting aAvay for the South, Hobart, and Melbourne shortly after their transhipment.

The steamor Maori, Captain Anderson, returned from AVairoa yesterday afternoon, having several passengers and some cargo. Tho fore-and-aft schooner Columbia, Captain G. Conway, sailed this morning for Gisborne, with a full cargo of coal and fencing posts.

The Union Company's steamer Te Anau, Captain Carey, is telegraphed as having left Wellington for the North at 11 o'clock last night, Avith some 115 tons of cargo, for this port, and Avill probably arrive at about 4 p.m. this day. The last launch for this boat will leave the breastwork at 7 o'clock tonight. As the steamer Oniapere, Captain AVebstor, only left Oamaru at 5.30 p.m. yesterday, it will probably be Sunday night before she puts in an appearance here, and her timo of sailing for Gisborne, Tauranga, and Auckland has in consequence been extended until Tuesday, at 4 p.m. She has 180 tons of oats on board for this port. Tho ketch Three Brothers discharged the Manapouri's cargo at the breastwork this afternoon. The steamer Taiaroa, Captain Parsons, is due here from the South oil Tuesday morning, and at 4 p.m. the same day is announced to steam for Gisborne, Tauranga, and Auckland. [by telegraph.] Auckland, This day. Tho missing brig Moa arrived ygsterday at Kaipara heads, 49 days out from Dunedin. AVellington, This day. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Catalonia only left the Cape on July 2nd. No reason is given for the detention. London, July 12. The total reservo in the Bank of England in notes and bullion is £11,600, an innrease. of £30,000 compared Avith the reserve East week. The proportion of rcst-rA'e to liabilities has advanced to 42 per cent. The bank rate of discount remains at 4 per cent, and the market rate at 3s. Consols have furtlier declined one-eighth, and are uoav quoted at 99J. NeAV Zealand securities remain as folloavs: —Five per cent 10-40 loan, 106J ; five per cent 1889 loan, 104J, ; four and a half per cent 1879-1904 loan, 102; four per cent inscribed stock, 101, ex-div. Tho markets for Australian breadstuff and tallow are unchanged. Australian hides are now realising full price. Sydney, Fri.day. Noav Zealand Avhcat remains at 4p, 3d por bushel, and New Zealand oats at 2s Gd ; maize, 2s lOd; sugar, Company's No. 1 pieces, per ton, £35.
