UNITING METHODIST BODIES.
CiinisTcmmcH, This day. The committees appointed by the WesIcyan, Primitive Methodist, Free Methodist, and Bible Christian Churches, to consider the question of Methodist union in New Zealand, mot in Durham street Church
yesterday. Seventeen representatives were present. The Rev. R. Bavin presided at the morning session, and Mr G. Booth at the afternoon. It was unanimously agreed that there is absolute unity as to the doctrines held, and the committee stated by resolution that in this respect there was no barrier to the union proposed. The rest of the day was spent in considering the constitution of the conncxional church courts. Great interest in the subject was manifested, and a disposition to make necessary concessions was shewn by all.
