PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE.

The Municipal Public Works Committee met last night, and passed tho following reoommendations: — 1. That the report of the engineer bo adopted, with the exception of clause 3 thereof, which is deferred. 2. That the progress report of the overseer be received, and his recommendation report be adopted. 3. That with reference to hawkers' licenses an advertisement be inserted, drawing public attention to the fact that the bye-law will be enforced from and after the lGth of July.
