MAILS CLOSE For Wellington, Southern ports, and Melbourne, per Te Anau, ou Saturday, at 1 p.m. For Auckland, per Tarawera, on Saturday, at 3 p.m. For the Sandwich Islands, America, West Indies, the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, Sec, via San Francisco, tomorrow, at 2 p.m. Money orders will close at noon, registered letters at 1 p.m., and book packets and newspapers at 1.30 p.m. The Waipara will, weather permitting, leave Hokitika ou the 21st instant for Okorito, Jackson's Bay, and other intermediate ports on the West Coast of the Middle Island. Tho steamor Gordon Castle is appointed to leave ifydnoy for Hong Kong about the 20th instant. J. Gaums, Chief Postmaster.
