Consols romain at IOOg, and Now Zealand securities at the following prices:—Five per cent 10-40 loan, 10G_ ; fivo per cent 1889 loan, 104| ; four and a half por cent 1870-1904 loan, 102J; four per cent inscribed stock, 102J-. Colonial breadstuffs continue dull at last quotations, namely, Adelnido wheat, cxwarehouso, 48/- ; Now Zoaland ditto, 44/----to 47/-; Adelaide flour, ex-warehouse, 33/ G. The market rate of discouut has been reduced to 3_, and is now one-half below the bank rate. Australian tallow, best beef 11/6, and best mutton 43/-. Melbourne, Wednesday. Shipping wheat remains at 5/-, with market very flat; malting barley is in faildemand at 5/6 to 6/- ; New Zealand oats have declined Id per bushel during tho week, feeding sorts being now quoted at 2/IHo 3/2, and milling ditto at 3/2 to 3/3.
