Evangelistic service in the Wcsleyau Church at 7.30 this evening. A concert with readings and recitations, takes place in the "Working , Men's Club hall this evening, commencing at 8 o'clock. The members of the Loyal Napier Lodge of Oddfellows hold their usual t'ortnightly meeting at 7.30 this evening. The Napier Riile Volunteers parado for company drill at the drill-shed at 7.30 tonight. Mr Ryan sells by auction to-morrow at 1 p.m., at his residence, Hastings, the ■whole of the household furniture and effects of Mr Stubbs. Tenders for the erection (labor only) of a four-roomed cottage at Taradale will be received by Mr Orchard, Puketapu, up to noon to-morrow. Mr Hugo delivers a second lecture at the Scandinavian Hall to-morrow evening for the benefit of the society. Tho privileges of 'the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club's steeplechase meeting will be sold by auction at the Criterion Hotel on Tuesday noxt by Messrs Hoadley, Lyon and Co. The half-yearly meeting of St John's Branch, H.A.C.8.5., will be held in the usual place on Wednesday evening next. Messrs James Lyon, Thomas Bishop, and It. Wellwood, have been appointed stewards of the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club. Mr Monteith publishes particulars of his sale of "Wanganui-brcd horses at the Horse Bazaar on Saturday. Messrs Blythe and Co. announce that special purchases and special value will appear in to-morrow's paper. Captain Gleadow, Port Ahuriri, has for sale the unexpired lease of two town sections iv Napier, with cottages thereon. A number of new advertisements will be found in our "Wanted " column.
