Three or four of the seamen of the lonic have been sentenced to fourteen days imprisonment for refusing duty on the voyage. Nelson. This day. It is alleged that in 18G3 at Takaka he married Ann Hammond, said now to be living in Wellington, and in ISSO, under the name of Henry Cook Wilkinson, married a Avidow named Shore. Duxedin, This day. The alleged assault cases arising out of tho recent disorderly meeting of the South Dunedin Borough Council came up voterday at the R.M. Court. Mr 73. Thorp, a ratepayer, who took the minute-book from the Mayor, was lined -1 Us and costs. The charcre against Councillor Clark Avas dismissed, and tho charge against Councillor Appleby was Avithdrawn.
