ENQUIRY INTO STRANDING OF STEAMER HAWEA.
Du.vedin, This dny. An enquiry was begun hero yesterday, before tho Resident Magistrate and two nautical assessors, iuto the stranding of the steamer lur.vea at the mouth of the Waitara river on tho Uth of May last. After hearing the evidence of the captain and chief officer the enquiry Avas adjourned till Thursday.
