Duxedin, This day. At tho Police Court on Thursday an action will come on, J. P. Maitland v. James Smith, barrister, in Avhich an attempt Avill be made to recover the penalty imposed by the Waste Lands Board for Mr Smith's failure to attend the recent inquiry on '' dummyism'' to give evidence.
