Passengers—Miss M'Lean, Mrs AA'illiams and son, Messrs Ash ton, Cox, Lynch, Liddle, Anderson, Kraeft, Sinclair, Taylor and son, Smith, and Russell. 9—AVairarapa, s.s., for Sydney via Poverty Bay and Auckland. Passengers — Mesdame.H Ford, Baxter, Gow, Day and son, and Nobes, Miss E. Goodall, Messrs M'Kay, Tela, Gow, Moore, Oteni, Day, Harawita, AVell, Russell, Birch, M'Loan. Tanner, Green, Campbell, and Chambers.
Tho Union Company's s.s. Rotnmahanna took her departure for Melbourne via Southern ports at 4 p.m. on Saturday. The Union Company's s.s. AYairarapa steamed for Sydney via Poverty Bay and Auckland at 5p.m." on Saturday. The Union Company's s.s. Taiaroa, 228 tons, Capt. Hansby, left Auckland at 8.15 a.m. on the Oth, and passed Mercury Island at 1.50 p.m. same date, and East Capo at 3.20 a.m. on the 10th, arriving at Gisbome on 10.55 a.m. ; left again at 5.50 p.m., and arrived in Napier at daylight this morning. She reports having experienced strong N.N.AV. winds to East Capo, and thence light S.AV. winds to arrival. Tho s.s. Kiwi, Capt. James Campbell. iiwiiiTWuiv.--'..- 7 f >"■ uii/Anursdayj'ana arrived at Castle Point at 8.30 a.m. on Friday; discharged 50 tons of cargo, and left at 1 a.m. on Saturday ; called at Gape Turnagain, but the sea was ton heavy to land ; steamed on to Blackhead, arrived at 2 p.m., and waited till 8 o'clock on Tuesday, arriving in Napier roadstead at 2 p.m. yesterday. She was brought inside at 6 p.m. She leaves for AVcllington at 5 p.m. to-morrow.
The p.s. Manaia and s.s. Maori returned to port from Wairoaon Saturday afternoon. Both steamers brought a good number of passengers.
[By Carle.] Melbourne, Sunday. Arrived, this afternoon, P. and O. steamship Indus, with the inward mails via Suez and Brindisi, dated London, May 4. Sydney, This day. Arrived, yesterday morning, Hauroto from AVcllington. The Orient steamship Austral has sailed for Glasgow in excellent trim.
[lIV TKT.EORA.PII.] Wellington, This day. Messrs Tnrnbull and Co.'s barque Alexa, Captain Robb, 86 days from Singapore, arrived here yesterday morning with a cargo of Eastern produce. The passage was an uneventful one.
