The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Southern Cross, Capt. Airman, arrived in the bay at an early hour this morning, and was berthed inside by the pilot alongside the breastwork. She discarded her cargo during - the forenoon, and at 3 o'clock tin's day was to have taken her departure for "Wellington and Oaraaru, instead of at 10 o'clock to-morrow morning , as previously anuounced. The Wniroa steamers Manaia and Maori are awaiting , a more favorable report of the bar at, that place before taking their depirture. The Union Company's steamer Rotomahana, Capt. McUce, was to have left Auckland for Southern ports and Melbourne at noon to-day, and will be in our roadstead by daylight on Saturday morning , . ' The steamer Kiwi, Captain James Campbell, was to have left Wellington at 0 o'clock this evening for Napier and the coast, and rnny be looked to arrive hero on Saturday next. The bngantine Enterprise, Captain Bell, has finished discharging , her inward cargo, aud is now loading up with a cargo of railway sleepers from tin , , bush. Tho steamer Wairarapa, Captain Chatjield, is the Union boat duo here on Saturday next. She i.-i expected to arrive during the afternoon, and is announced to sto.'im for Northern ports and Sydney at 4 p.m. tho same day.
