The Artillery Volunteers parade for company drill at the shed at 7.30 to-night. The annual meeting , of the members of the Hawke's Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Society will be held at the society's room, Tennyson-street, to-morrow at 11 a.m. Mr Ryan sells a number of sheep, cattle, horses, &v., and 50 cowls fu'owood, by auction at Roscmeath, Taradalo, α-t noon tomorrow. Objections to the assessment of property made by the Taradale District Board of River Conservators will be heard by the R.M. at the Court House, Napier, at 10.30 a.m. to-morrow.
The Napier North, South, and Central Licensing Committees hold their annual meetings at the Court House, Napier, at noon to-morrow, for tho transaction of public business.
Tho first meeting of the creditors of W. E. Combs, an arranging debtor, will be hold at the Court House, Napier, at 2 p.m. to-morrow, for the purpose of assenting to the deed of arrangement.
The annual exhibition of grain, ro«">ts, kc, under the auspices of the Agricultural and Pastoral Society, will be open in Messrs Hoadlcy, Lyon and Co.'s store on Saturday from noon to 9 p.m. Entries must be at the place of exhibition by 10 a.m. on Saturday.
In addition to the other goods to be disposed of by auction at the Horse Bazaar on Saturday, Mr Mouteith will sell two girls' side-saddles and a lot of fowls.
Mr Tom Waterworth has applied to the Land Board to transfer his interest in a section in the Woodville survey district to Mr John liarris, fanner, of Woodvillo.
At the general meeting , to bo held on Thursday, the 21st instant, the Hcretaunga Road Board intend to levy a rate of threeeighths of a penny in the £ on all ratable property in the district for tho current year, same to be payable in one instalment; rate book will bo open for inspection on and after Saturday.
A bay gelding, impounded at Hastings, will be sold on Thursday, 21st instant, if not previously redeemed.
An advertiser has a low phaeton and harness for sale, also a horse accustomed to be driven by a lady.
Mr John Orr has now landing ex Southern Cross a shipment of drain pipes.
Mr W. Orchard, Puketapu, invites tenders for the erection of a four-roomed cottage at Taradale (labor only).
