June. 1— Hlnemoa, C.G., s.s., for Wellington. Passongors — His Excellency the Governor, Lady Jervois, Miss Jervois, and suite. 4 The p.s. Manaia, Capt. Baxter, returned from Wairoa at 8.30 p.m. yesterday, bringing soveral passenirors. Reports experiencing a strong southerly Avind on the way up the bay. The'Colouinl Government steamer Hiuemoa, Capt. Fairchild, Avith the Governor and suite on board, took her departure for Wellington yesterday afternoon, but on passing Capo Kidnappers sho was met by a strong southerly Avind, and before reaching Bare Island tho vessel Avas put about and returned to port at about midnight last night. Sho -will, however, leave again this evening should the weather in the meantime moderate. Tho Union Steamship Company's s.s Waihora, Captain Elie, from Sydney aud the North, arrived in the bay at 7 o'clock this morning, and was at once tendered by tho Bxijum for mails and and by the ketch Three Brothers for her cargo, some 30 tons. The Waihora reports having left Auckland at 3 o'clock on May 31st; arrived at Gisb-irno at 2.30 p.m. on tho Ist instant, leaving again at 6 p.m., and arriving here as abovo. Her outward passengers will bo convoyed off by tho launch at 2 o'clock this afternoon, the boat steamiug on her way shortly afterwards for Melbourne via Southern ports. The steamer Kiwi, Captain James Campbell, arrived in tho bay from Wellington and tho const at 1.30 a.m. this day, and Avas berthed inside by tho pilot at the breastwork at about 10.30 a.m. She reports leaving Wellington on Wednesday night; lan led 20 tons of cargo at Uriii next day ; landed 15 tons at Castle Point on Friday morning, and left at 0 a.m., working at Cape Turnagain and Whangnehu en route, and arriving hero ns above. She has a considerable quantity of irnods to discharge here, and as she will bo taking a full load of tallow and other produce away. Her departure has been delayed until Monday, and she is uoav announced to sail at 4 o'clock that, afternoon. Tho cutter Lizzie, Captain McGcrnoy, has cleared at tho Customs for Auckland, and will bo leaving on tho first opportunity. Tho Union Steamship Company's s.s. Rotomahana, Cantaiu McGec, arrived in the roadstead from Wollimrfon, Southern ports, and Melbourne at 11 o'clock this morning, and was met and tendered by the lighter Admiral for her cargo and tho launch Boojum for her mails and passengers. The folloAviug is a renort of her passage, kindly furnished by Mr Charles N. Hudson, her purser: — Loft Melbourne on the 23rd May ; arrived at tho Bluff on the 28lh ; called at Port Chaining oa the 29, Lvttelton on tho 31s f , and Wellinsrtou on the Ist instant; sailed thenoo for Napier on sumo date at 5.30 p.m., arriving as abovo. Had strong N.E. and S.E. Avinds Avith heavy head sea from Melbourne to Bluff, thonce to Wellington light variable Avinds and fine Aveathor, and during the remainder of tho passcngestrong southerly Avind. The Rotomahana's outward passongors arc announced to leave the broastAvork at 4 p.m. this day, the steamer sailing immediately after transhipment for Gisborne and Auokland.
