New Plymouth, This day. Mr Carkeek and his party arrived at Urenui last night and have just reached toAvn. Mr Carkeek is annoyed that there should have been an alarm about him and says if the Aveather had been fine he should have remained out another week, ho lias been at work all the time, aud having arms and ammunition Avas not afraid of being short of proA-isions The country the party has been over is much in the same direction as Cheat and Robinson went through some six years ago, his party are all in good health. Wellington, This day. Mr Carkeek, the missing surveyor, has turned up all right at Urenui, near Tarauaki, Avhero ho had gone, his provisions having run short for tho past month. He Avas to" go on to New Plymouth to-day.
