May 30. At to-day's avool sales 10,600 bales were offered. The tone of the sale Avas firm. May 31. At the avool sales to-day the catalogues comprised 11,000 bales. Bidding Avas steady, but the demand was not active. During tho Avcck 12,000 bales were Avithdrawii. June 1. In the House of Commons last night Lord E. Fitzmauriec, Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs, anuounced that England and Mexico had accredited agents to negotiate for a resumption of friendly relations. The death is announced of General E. S. Barnaby. Mr Kelly appeared at the Bar of the House of Commons to-day, and disclaimed any intention of further action in connection with his challenge toMrMcCoan. His explanation Avas accepted by the House.
