The Union Steamship Company s s.s. Southern Cross, Capt. Alhnan, arrived in tho bay from AVellington and Lyttelton at 9 o'clock last, night, and was berthed inside by tho pilot this morning alongside the breastwork, where she discharged her cargo, some 30 tons, during tho day. Sho was to have takon her departure for Gisborne and Auckland at 2 o'clock this afternoon. The steamer Sir Donald left for Moeangiungi and Arnpawanui at 1 o'clock yesterday, with a part cargo of stores and timber. The s.s. Fairy, Captain John Campbell, steamed for Blackhead last night, Avith a cargo of station requisites, and will probably bo returning to port to-night. The Union Company's steamer AVaihora, from Sydney en route for Southern ports and Melbourne, was expected to have left Auckland at noon to-day, and is due in our roadstead at daylight on Saturday morning, sailing aarain at 2 p.m. the same clay. The steamer Kiwi, Capt. James Campbell, left Wellington at 6 o'clock last night for Napier and the coast, and is expected to put in an appearance here to-morroAV morning-. She will be sailing again at 2 o'clock tho same day. Tho p.s. Manaia, Capt. Baxter, is to loavel'or Wairoa at 12 o'clock to-night, taking cargo and passengers. The Union Company's s.s. Rotomahana is the boat due hero on Saturday from Melbourne aud Southern ports, and is expected to arrive in tho bay during the forenoon, sailing uortlnvards at 4 p.m. |IJY TELEGRAPH.] Auckland, This day.
