POST-SESSIONAL ADDRESSES.
Neav Plymouth, This day. Colonel Trimble, M.H.R. for Egmont, has addressed his constituents at AVaitara, Inglewood, Urenui, aud in New Plymouth, and has received votes of confidence at each place. Dunedin, This day. Mr Fergus, M.H.R. for AVakatipu, addressed his constituents at Queenstown last night, and received a unanimous vote of confidence. He considered that the Government had been too lax during the recess in pushing forward public works, and said it Avas simply aAvful to see the languid pace at Avhich the" Otago central raihvay Avas progressing. Upper House reform demanded immediate attention. He favored its election by largo districts, and the members to bo elected for not less than seven years.
