The steamer Maori, Captain Anderson, returned from AVairoa at jiooii_ yesterday. bringing several passengers, six bales of wool, and v. quantity of fruit and sheepskins. She was placed on Northe's slip this morning to receive au overhaul, and will be leaving again for AVairoa on AVednesday innThe Union Steamship Company s s.s, Buva is due iv our roadstead at au early hour to-morrow morning, having- .some 20 tons of cargo on board for this port, AA'hich •will bo lightered iv the bay. She is siuiiounccd to sail for Oamaru direct at noon the same clay. The p.s. Manaia, Capt. Baxter, will take her departure for AVairoa at 12 o'clock tonight Avith cargo and passengers. The Union Company's s.s. Southern Cross, Capt. Album, is expected to leave AVellington ou Tuesday afternoon, and is due hero on 'Wednesday, being advertised to sail for Gisborne and Auckland that day.
