THE GOVERNOR'S DEPARTURE FROM AUCKLAND.
Auckland, This day. Tho Governor and vice-regal party left in the Government steamer Hincmoa for the South at 4 o'clock on Saturday afternoon. The Avholc A'olunteer force, under Colonel Lyon, formed a guard of honor. Tho Hincmoa lay at tho raihvay wharf, Avhich Avas croAvded with about 3000 people. As the carriage containing the Governor, Lady Jervois, Miss Jen'ois, and suite reached the Avharf the A'olunteer band played the National Anthem, and the Naval Brigade fired 17 guns. The Mayor received the viee-regid party at the steamer's gangAvuy, and escorted Lady Jervois on board. Ou the steamer Avere congregated a number of members of tho Legislature, leading citizens, and Bishop CoAvie, Monsignorc Fynos, and other clergymen, avlio paid their adieus. As the Hincmoa sloAvly steamed from the Avharf the Mayor called for three cheers for the Governor, Avhich Avere heartily given by the large assemblage, and the cheering avus kept up* till the vessel got
fairly under weigh. His Excellency boAved his acknowledgments, and lifted his hat repeatedly in response to the cheers. The vice-regal party carried aAvay the best AA'ishes. of tho Auckland people.
