[To the Editor of the Daily Telegraph.] Sir, —A correspondent signing himself " Mcaneo " in this morning's issue of your contemporary, while suffering apparently from an attack of jaundice, has the impertinence as well as the temerity to question the accuracy of your report (as well as that of the Herald's, which was evidently cribbed from yours) of the valedictory tea meeting to Sir Mabbctt at the district school of Moanee last Friday. Your report was substantially correct, although there were one or two little details omitted which wero not worth taking notice of. It is because, perhaps, " Mcanee " was not mentioned as having contilbutcd to tho entertainment of the evening that his jealousy has broken out in ink.—l am. &c, M. May 22, 1883.
