NOTICE is hereby given that the following will be the nights on which nightsoil will be removed from premises situated in or adjacent to any of the undermentioned streets, viz., Monday—Tho Hills, Spit, Marine Parade, Browning-street, and Carlyle-strcet, from Craven-street to West End. WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of "Tho Municipal Corporations Act, 1876," the Annual Ordinary Election of Two Auditors of the Borough of Napier, will be held on Friday, the first day of June, 1883. Now, therefore, I, the undersigned, do hereby appoint WEDNESDAY, the 23rd day of MAY instant, as the clay, and the Office of the Town Clerk, Napier, as tho place, for the Nomination of Candidates, who must be nominated by means of Nomination papers, in the prescribed form, addressed to mo and delivered at the said Office of the Town Clerk, before Noon of the said 23rd day of May. Each such Nomination paper must state the full names of the Candidate, and must be signed by Two Electors of the Borough, as also by tho Candidate himself in token of his assent to such Nomination. I—Recruit drills will take place at Mr. Tiff en's shed as follows:—lst, 3rd, Bth, 10th, loth, 17th, 29th, aud 31st, at 7.45 p.m. 2.—Recruits of both corps having fulfilled the requisite 30 hours' drill, and being efficient, Avill be transferred into a class for judging distance and firing practice, to entitle him to receive a certificate of efficiency. 3.—Gun drill for Artillery Volunteers will take place on WEDNESDAY, Oth and 23rd, at Mr. Tiffen's shed ; on the 2nd and 3Oth at tho gun shed, at 7.15 p.m. ; undress uniform. 4.—Company drill for the Napier Rifles on WEDNESDAY, 2nd and 30th, at Mr. Tiffen's shed. s.—Government inspection on WEDNESDAY, the lGth, in front of the Athcnreum, at 7.45 p.m. Inspection at S p.m. sharp. G. —Government daylight parade for battalion drill for both corps on THURSDAY, the 24th Queen's Birthday, to fall in in front of the Athcnocum at 9 a.m., and fire Royal Salute and feu dc joic at 11 a.m. 7.—The Volunteer Band to attend on both Government Inspections.
