THE POPE INSISTS ON COMPLETE ABSTENTION FROM POLITICS BY IRISH BISHOPS AND CLERGY.
LONDON. May 15. The Pope has written an encyclical letter to the Irish Bishops having reference to the present state of affairs in Ireland and the attitude of the Roman Catholic clergy. His Holiness insists upon complete abstention from politics on the part of the Bishops and clergy.
