A meeting of the Waipawa Ploughing 4 Match Association committee was hold on Friday evening last, at the Empire Hotel, to discuss arrangements for the forthcoming match at Waipukurau. It was decided to offer first and second prizes, in addition to special prizes, for the bost groomed team and best kept harness on the ground. It was also decided that all entrances should close on the ground at 8 o'clock on the morning of the match, and that tho annual dinner in connection with the Association should take place as usual. The following gentlemen were appointed judges:—Messrs Russell, Wcllwood, Ord, Fleming, and Elliott. The meeting then adjourned to Friday evening next.

The organ of St. Paul's, Napier, which has lately been in partial use only, is in process of re-construction. Extensive additions are being made, and the whole rebuilt by and, u|idcr the personal supervision of the organist, Mr Hugh Aplin. Tho original organ — a '' general swell of eight stops—now forms the '' trrcat organ,'' and is revoiced as such, a new CC '' swell organ '' of eight speaking stops and 424 pipes, together with the usual accessories, being added. The full register of tho instrument consist of twenty-two stops of 838 pipes, divided between two manuals of full compass and pedal clavier. On completion the organ Avill be inaugurated with an organ recital and sacred concert, at which our leading musical talent will assist.

Toriright the company play " Jcanio Dean's," a romantic Scotch drama, which should prove a powerful " draw. '
