Passengers—Misss Moorhonse, Mcsdamcs licwiri and boy, Bcctham, and Moore, Messrs Bectham, Beckinan, Campbell, Rollo, and Cottrcll. 12—Waihora, s.s., for Sydney via Poverty Bay and Auckland. Passengers—Misses Winsor and Cotcl, Mesdames Tylcc, Buckman, Palmer and child, and Wharton, Messrs Lyford, Ryan, Buckman, Pearson, Jarman, Davis, Rauzo, Locke, Wharton, Mills, Stohr, and Tylce. 13—Columbia, schooner, for Poverty Buy. 13—Fawn, brigautinu, for Ltlclton.
The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Waihora, Captain Edio, arrived in the roadstead from Duncdin via Southern ports and Wellington at 2 o'clock on Saturday afternoon. The Boojum attended for passengers and mails and the lighters for cargo. She reports leaving Dunedin on Tuesday last, willed at Lyttcltoii on Wednesday, and Wellington on Friday; sailed from Wellington at 7 p.m., and arrived here as given above; experienced iino wen flier light variable winds throughout to Wellington; thence to arrival fresh head winds. The outward passengers were taken off at 4 p.m., the Waihora steaming on her course to Sydney via Poverty Buy and Auckland about G p.m. The s.h. Kiwi, Captain James Campbell, loft Wellington on Thursday at G p.m., and arrived at Glenhuon at daylight next morning ; landed rams,, cargo, and passengers, and left at 10 a.m. ; arrived at Castle Point at 2.30 p.m., and discharged a quantity of cargo; left at i> p.m., and came on under easy steam to Blackhead, and, there being a heavy sea, took all day to discharge 10 tons of cargo; left '.it 5 p.m., and arrived in the roadstead'at 7.30 a.m. yesterday. jSho was immediately brought inside. The Kiwi brings a quantity of transhipments ex Waimen, Kilmcny, and llalcione from London, and Rebecca Crowell from New York, and a large general cargo. She is to leave for Castle Point, Oalumga, and Wellington at 1 p.m. to-morrow. The brig Fawn was towed out beyond the BlulE yesterday morning by the s.s. Kiwi, and at once set sail for Lyttelton witli a cargo of wool, follow, and skins consigned to the Now Zealand Shipping Company.
The outward passengers and mails for the Union Company's s.s. Wairarapa were taken oft' by the launch Boojum at 2 p.m. on Saturday, the Wairarapa steaming on her course for Melbourne via Southern ports shortly afterwards. The p s. Manaia, Ca.pt. Baxter, arrived from Wairoa at .'i o'clook on Saturday afternoon. She brought ten passengers, 120 bales hops, -10 packets avool, and half-ton fruit.
The schooner Columbia., Captain G'onway, took her departure yesterday morning for Gisbornc. She had a full cargo of timber mid coals.
The White Star steamship Doric, chartered by the Now Zealand Shipping Company for'the direct steam .service between the colony and London, is J lO feet long, 44 feet broad, and .12 feet deep, and has a gross tonnage of .5000 tons. She is lighted by incandescent lamps.
