Maungaharuru District—Fern hills and spurs on the Avestorn slopes of the Maungaharuru Range; the soil is light; about onehalf of Section 2 is undulating country covercn with natural grasses; Section 4 has frontage to Taupo road ; a few clumps of bush are scattered about on Section 1. Waitara District — Open fern country, hilly.
