THE ROAD BOARD ELECTIONS.

Some questions having arisen as to the position of the members of Road Boards, the Government have been advised that in cases where no fresh election of members has taken place the old members retain their position until such time as their successors (if any) aro appointed. In connection with the elections whicli have already taken place, it may be mentioned that these arc perfectly legal.
