REDUCING TELEGRAPHIC RATES

FATAL ACCIDENT IN A MINE AT SANDHURST.

SYDNEY. Friday. The Intercolonial Postal Conference concluded its sitting this afternoon. This day.

Before the conclusion of the sitting of the Intercolonial Conference a resolution was passed in favor of a reduction of the rates on press telegrams from Europe by 2b per cent. It was also decided that intercolonial telegrams between 'Victoria and Ncav South Wales should be reduced to ono shilling per ten Avords. The other colonies represented Avould not agree to a similar reduction.
