LONDON WOOL MARKET REPORT.
Messrs Sanderson, Murray and Co. have issued the following circular on the above market, under date Loudon, March 22 : — The first series of sales was brought to a close yesterday, and during the currency 20],0;J0 bales were catalogued, of ivhich 27,120 bales were bought in. The attendance throughout has been about the average, and, although for some descriptions the market is closing flat, on the whole the fluctuations have been insignificant, aud for most merino ivools prices paid may be deemed fairly satisfactory. Good sound combing wools havo remained remarkably steady throughout, but heavy musty parcels of greasy have of late shown a weakness, aiuf aro "noiv Yd to 1 d under the highest point of the sides, while superior scoured, although not actually cheaper, arc not so eagerly sought after as they were the first ivcek. Fine crossbreds are perhaps in better demand than anything, aud arc eagerly looked after, but the coarse sorts, although noiv on a par with closing rates of November, show no signs of improving their position. Lambs wool has been in keen request, aud when free has realized high rates. Tho next series is fixed to commence on AVednesday, May Kith, and arrivals up to y.0,000 bales will be included.
