MayS. Intelligence is to hand from Halifax, Nova Scotia, that much alarm is felt there in consequence of a report Avhich is current that some Fenian torpedo vessels have sailed from Boston to Halifax. It is feared that an attack upon the shipping at that port is intended. The homeward mails via Suez and Brindisi, Avhich left Melbourne on March 29, Avere delivered here to-day. May 9. _ The administration of reforms in Armenia is now being proceeded Avith by the Turkish Government. Massa Effendi has been appointed Governor of the Province _of Lebanon, tho population of Avhich is chiefly Christian, aud the appointment has been ratified by the Powers. The Queen returned to AVindsor Castle yesterday. Her Majesty's health is_ improving,' and the ill effects of her accident at the Castle aro being gradually overcome.
