SYDNEY.
Wednesday. In the Legislative Assembly this evening the Postmaster-General tabled a resolution regarding the San Francisco mail service. Tho motion provides for an extension of the present service for a period of two years, the subsidy being fixed at £50,000, of which £18,750 is'to be contributed by New South Wales, on the understanding that the contract time shall be shortened by twenty-four hours for the first year, and forty-eight hours for the second year, the company to bo relieved of tho obligation of keeping a fourth vessel in the service.
