Intelligence of a disquieting nature has been received from the West African coast, and it is expected that a conflict will ensue between Stanley's exploring , expedition and tho French party under Do Braz/.a in the Congo country. Daniel Curler, the .second of the prisoners charged with the Phoenix Park murders, has been found guilty and sentenced to death. A box containing explosives has been found outside Salisbury Cathedral, and an intended outrage to that edifice has thus been averted. Tho discovery has caused some, alarm, m th,o city.
