P0 R T 0 F NAPI ER . ARRIVALS. April. 17—'I'aiarua. s.s., from Auckland. Passengers for Gisbornu landed here—Miss Canipic and Mrs. Forster. DEPARTURES. April. 17 —Taiaroa, s.s, for AVellington and Dunedin. The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Taiaroa, Captain Ilansby, arrived iv the roadstead shortly after 1 o'clock yesterday, and was tendered by the launch Boojum for passengers, mails, and about ten tons of cargo. She reports having left Auckland at S a.m. on the loth inst., rounded the East Cape at 8 a.m. ou the 10th, and after experiencing strong S.E. winds to S.W. winds and head seas arrived off Gisborne at b p.m. on the 10th. On entering the bay encouiitered a very heaA-y S.AV. gale, with terrific seas and heavy rain : did not drop anchor, but proceeded direct to Napier, arriving- at 1.1") p.m. on the 17th. The Taiaroa got away for Dunedin via AVellington at -i o'clock the same afternoon.

The p.s. Manaia's departure for AVairoa had to be again postponed this morning, for, besides the southerly weather being- unabated, there is uoav a, heavy sea reported to be running on the AVairoa bar.

The launch. Boojum's departure for AVairoa has been postponed until next- Aveek.

The steamer Kiwi, Captain James Campbell is still at the wharf, having decided not to leave for ..lliiiirf._ via tho coast until 'J o'clock to-morroAV afternoon.

Alessrs Shaw, Savill and Co.'s ship Elci.-lra. is shortly expected to arriVo from tlie South, and will be laid on to load foxLondon. There is a probability of the Electra being brought inside.
