Tuesday. The death is announced of Air 11. F. Guriier, Ci-oavh Solicitor, from apoplexy.
The Colonial Bank of Australia at Brunswick,' two and a. half miles from the city, A\-as robbed to-day of £GOO. The theft .vas committed during office hours. The manager Avas momentarily absent, and upon his return found that a draAver had been unlocked and the money abstracted. It is believed that the thief is a youth, but he has not up to the present time been arrested. This day.
Further particulars regarding the robbery at the Colonial Bank at Brunswick slioav that a sum of £715 Avas stolen, not £GOO as at first supposed. The manager of the branch has been suspended pending an enquiry into the affair. The steamer TaniAvera, Avhieh left yesterday for the Bluff, took on board at the heads the English mails brought by the P. and O. steamship Rosetta.
