VICTORIAN INTERIM FINANCE ACCOUNT.
AN IRISH JURYMAN SETTLES IN A r ICTORIA. DEPARTURE OF THE GOVERNOR OF QUEENSLAND. MELBOURNE.
Thursday. An interim finance account has been issued by Air Service as Colonial Treasurer. He estimates the revenue for the current year at £.3,800.000, and the expenditure by votes at exclusive of additional estimates to the amount of £131,000. The result will reduce Sir Bryan O'Loghlen's estimated balance to £37,000. The account slioavs that £2,000,000 will be required to meet the deficiency for railway expenditure in exoess of the estimate. Air Service, in presenting the accent to the Assembly last night, stated that the revcuuc is coming in satisfactorily. The last loan will realise £3,920,000, Avheroof £1,800,0.30 Avill be required for the redemption of other loans, but only £093,000 Avill be available for services this year. Nevertheless the obligations amounted to £1,000,000, of Avhich amount £1,000,000 avus required for railways. Air Service declared that the Treasury accounts are in a singular state of confusion, and that the colony Avould experience the greatest difficulty in _ paying its way. He added that he is at his Avit's end to'mcot the engagements of the Treasury. One of the jurymen avlio avus engaged in the trial of the murderers of the Joyce family at Maamtrasma has arri\-ed here, and intends to settle in Victoria. This day. Estimates of expenditure amounting to £2,000,000 have been passed by the Legislative Assembly. Air Grant, Chief Secretary iv the late O'Loghlen Administration, has passed over to the Ministerial side in the Assembly.
