The regular mouthly meeting of the AVaipawa Comity Council was to have taken place on above date, but as only four councillors put in an appearance, five being required to form a quorum, the meeting avus iidjoiinied !'<>r a week. The councillors pr.-cut opened the tenders AA-hich had been v.-.-ived for various works in the county, and accepted the loAvest one in each case. The pay-sheet Ava-a!>o passed.
