THE following- extract from "The Municipal Corporations Act, -187G," is published for general information : — "Clause 40.—The Town Clerk of every Borouprh .shall, on or before the 31st day ofMARCH in each year, make out from the Rate-book a list to be called the "DEFAULTERS LIST," of the names, arranged in the alphabetical order of their .surnames, "of all PERSONS "WHO HAVE NOT THEN PAID ALL THE HATES "WHICH OX OR BEFOIIE THE 31ST OF DECEMBER PREVIOUS THEY "WERE TIIEX LIABLE TO PAY." " Clause 41.—The Town Clerk of every Borough shall, on or before the 31st day of MARCH in each year, make out in the form in the sth Schedule, from the Valuation Roll, a list to be called the "BURGESS LIST," containing the names of all persons arranged in the alphabatical order of their surnames, whose names appear on the Valuation Roll, " omitting therefrom THE NAME OF EVERY PERSOX "WHOSE XAME IS OX THE DKF.VUXTERS LIST." I.—Cargo from any vessel may be deposited in the sheds during , wet weather, or when the business stores are closed, upon application being made to the "wharfinger by the agents of the vessel. 2.—A1l goods deposited in the sheds to be removed -within twelve ■working- hours after the "weather lias, in the opinion of the wharfinger, sufficiently moderrated to allow of the removal of such goods, or after the business stores are open. A fee of three shillings per ton per diem will be charged upon all goods left in the sheds after such period. 3. —The agent of the vessel to have possession of the keys of the shed duringthe time the goods are stored therein, and to be responsible for the safe custody of such goods, and for any fees that are due or may become due thereon to the Napier Harbor Board. -1. —The Napier Harbor Board docs not hold itself responsible for the safety of iiuv goods deposited in the Cargo sheds."
