March 20. _ In the House of Commons to-day Sir AVilliam A r ernon Harcourt, the Home Secretary stated, in reply to a question, that enquiries had been made by the police regarding the attack upon Lady Florence Dixie by tAvo men disguised as women, but that the investigations had failed to confirm Lady Dixie's narrative. A Fenian Avho has arrived at Liverpool from Cork Avas detected in the act of landing ti box of explosives, and Avas arrested by the police. March 30. Two persons lnrve been arrested at Cork in connection Avith the landing of a case of explosives at Liverpool by a Fenian agent. The enthronement of Dr. Benson as Primate of All England took place at Canterbury Cathedral to-day. The ceremony Avas performed by the Archbishop of York, a.ssisted by other prelates of the Established Church, and in the presence of an immense concourse of clergy and persons of note.
