This day. Mary Ann Lyons, aged G7 years, died suddenly from heart disease last night. Forged £5-uotes of tho Union Bank of Australia are in circulation, and two of them have been received at the bank here. These tAvo Avere photographs from the same note, tho number of which is 24470. Mr Fitchett, counsel for the Massoys, intends applying to the Supreme Court for a change of A'enuc to Invercargill. The Kaitangata Coal Company has declared a ten per cent diA'idend. The boy AVain, aa-lio Avas the A'ictim of the alleged ill-treatment by his parents at South Dunedin about a fortnight ago, died in the hospital yesterday. An inquest AA'ill be held. Tho police avoi-o unable to obtain any statement from the deceased lad. "Captain" Pollock, of the Salvation Army, has arrived in Dunedin to begin operations, and has taken the Temperance Hall for three years. Ho is accompanied by a lieutenant and his Avife. Captain EdAvard AVright and a subaltern go to Auckland.
