RUMORED RESIGNATION OF MR GLADSTONE. IMPLICATION OF THE LAND LEAGUE IN IRISH OUTRAGES. NEAV ROUTE FOR THE P. AND 0. SERVICE. LONDON. March 22. Mr AY. N. M. St. Aubyn, M.P. for Helston, has received an anonymous letter, warning him that the Invineiblcs intend to blow up the House of Commons Avith dynamite after the Easter recess. A Customs Avar is being carried on betAveen Spain and Germany. The Emperor of Austria has announced his intention of paying an early visit to the King of Italy. AClue has been obtained to the perpetrators of the attempt to blow up the local Government offices at AVhitehall. Mr Stephen Gladstone implies that his father Avill shortly retire, and the Daily News urges that lie should receive a peerage, also retaining the leadership. Six members of an Irish society knoAvn as tbe Patriotic Brothers h.ve been convicted of agrarian offences. The record of the trial shoAA-s that the Land League authorities requested the society to kill a landlord. Sheridan and several American Fenians are implicated in the disclosures made. The Daily Noavs states that the Peninsular and Oriental Company intend-to abandon tho route via Brindisi, and return to that via Marseilles.
