The present proprietors have agreed to hand over their interest in the Lease and Water Rights foi a consideration of £500, and Avill take iq 10,000 shares, upon wliich 4s per share shall be deemed paid. A cash deposit of Gd per share tc be made on application, and Is on allotment, calls not to exceed Gd per month. It is not anticipated that it will be necessary to call up more than half the capital. The Company is being formed for the purpose of working a special claim of 81 acres held by the present proprietors, Avhich immediately adjoins tho Ross Gold-mining Company's ground, and extends the Avhole length of its northern boundary, including a large portion of the Ross Flat, which, is so Avell known to contain, Avithinits area, some of the richest alluvial deposits in the Australian Colonies. Closely adjoining the Company'slease the celebrated claims known as the "Cassias," "Morning Star," aud "Excelsior" arc situated. From these three claims a total yield of 11,5130zs 9dwts and 12grs avus obtained during a period (taking the average) of o2h Aveeks, or equal to oGGozs OdAvts sgrs per week. This large quantity of gold was obtained from an area not exceeding sca-cii acres. It may be here mentioned that Avhen the three claims were compelled to ceaso work, through inability to cope with the water, several of the best gold-bearing faces were being Avorked iv a line leading towards this Company's ground. The proposed mode of working the ground is by hydraulic, lifts, and the proprietors have' secured sufficient Avater power for that purpose. In inviting the Public to subscribe for the shares now offered, the Provisional Directors feel confident of the genuineness of the venture, and of its ultimate success. The fact of shares in tho Ross Gold-mining Company, the adjoining claim, realising at the present time from 70s to 80s por share, with only 9s paid up, is ample proof of the high opinion now universally expressed, that the ground is of a most valuable nature, and promises to be highly remunerative. It is Avorthy of note that a portion of the proposed Company's lease Avas included in the Ross Gold-mining Company's original survey and application, until such time as a detailed survey Avas completed, Avhen it Avas found that more than the stipulated area, applied for had been marked out. Attached to the prospectus is a plan showing the exact position of the claim with regard to the existing Avorkings and leases in the Ross district.
