MUNICIPAL PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE.

The Public AVorks Committee of the Municipal Council held their usual meeting last evening, and agreed to the following recommendations: — 1. That with reference to the removal of nightsoil the inspector of nuisances be authorised to arrange with the nightsoil contractor for the division of the borough into districts for the better and more efficient removal thereof, and report as to the same to the next meeting of the Public AVorks Committee.

2. That the engineer's report be adopted, and the question of the salt Avater avclls brought to the notice of the Government.
