RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Tins Day. (Before Captain Prcecc, R.M.) DRUNKENNESS. John Kirnan, who was convicted of drunkenness for the second time this month, was sentenced to 48 hours' imprisonment, in defaidt of payment of a fine of 10s and costs. William Talbot and Hirini Ititaki wore each fined 5s and costs for drunkenness. William Klecber, charged with obstructing tho police, was dismissed with a caution. Robert Coylo and James Hoyle, charged with drunkenness, failed to appear, and their recognisances of XI each were estreated. LUNACY. Mary Wright, on a charge of lunacy, was remanded to the Asylum until the 27th instant for medical examination. BREACHES OF RAILWAY BYE-LAWS. An information against Manaena (the younger) charging him with a breach of the Railway Bye-laws was dismissed. Peter Parnell, similarly charged, pleaded guilty, and was fined 10s and lls costs, also expenses of witnesses £1, or in default seven days imprisonment.
