In pursuance of the provisions of the " Counties Act, 1870," and tlie "Counties Act, 1870 Amendment Act, 1882," the County Council of Hawke's Bay do order as follows, that is to say : — 1. Any pigs or goats found running at large may be impounded by any person in any public pound or in any enclosure specially appointed for tho purpose by the Council,' and publicly notified. Such enclosure shall, for the purpose of this bye-law only, be deemed a public pound, and the like fees and damages shall be payable in respect of any pigs or goats impouncled therein, as in the case of a public pound. 2. The owner of any pig or goat found running at large shall bo deemed guilty of an offence, and shall, upon conviction, forfeit and pay any sum not exceeding £1 for every pig or goat so found running at largo, to be recovered in the manner provided by the 208 th section of tho "Counties Act, 1870." And I hereby appoint the hour of Noon, on SATURDAY, the 21th day of March, 1883, as the time, and the Mechanics' Institute at Havelock, as the place, for the Nomination of Candidates for the said offices.
