CRICKET.
Tkapesmes v. Commission Agents.
The first cricket match on the recreation ground was played between teams chosen from tlve above yesterday afternoon. The ground was in excellent order, and much credit is due to the caretaker and managing committee for obtaining so good a wicket on a new ground. The weather was tine, and a large number of spectators were present, including somo ladies. The match was played with only nine men on each side, and resulted in a victory for the tradesmen on the first innings by 31 runs. Some very fair cricket was shown on both sides, but the game does not call for any special comment. "We append the scores :— COMMISSION AGENTS. Ist innings. 2nd innings. Cuto, bT.
