Passenger —Miss Peatman. 13—Manaia, p.s., for Wairoa. -OThe steamer Maori, Captain Anderson, took her departure for Wairoa at 12 o'clock last night, taking four passengers and a full cargo. She will be returning via Mohaka. The s.s. Fairy, Captain Campbell, returned from Blackhead yesterday afternoon, having landed her cargo and shipped a part load of wool. The three-masted schooner Ellerton, Capt. Chambers, arrived here at 2 o'clock this morning from Lyttelton, and was berthed inside by the pilot at 8 o'clock. She reports having , left Lyttelton on Saturday last, with a strong southerly wind, which, accompanied with thick rainy weather, lasted until her arrival as given above. The Eliertou brings a cargo of 672 casks of cement, consigned to the New Zealand Shipping Company, transhipped at Lyttelton out of the ships Firth of Forth and Opawa. The Union Company's launch Boojum, Captain Maloney, took her departure for Wiiiroa at about 12 o'clock last night. The p.s. Manaia, Captain W. E. Baxter, steamed for Wairoa at a few minutes after 12 o'clock last night, taking a good cargo. The steamer Taiaroa was to have left Wellington at 'i o'clock this afternoon for Northern ports, and should arrive here at about noon to-morrow. She brings 30 tons of cargo for here, and will be sailing for Gih'borne and Auckland at 1 o'clock the same afternoon. The three-masted schooner Silver Cloud, Captain Charles Balle, arrived in the roadstead from Newcastle, N.S.W., at 7 o'clock this morning, and way towed inside to the breastwork at 10.30 a.m. by the steamer Fairy. She reports having left Newcastle on the 27th ultimo, with a fresh N.E. wind, and on the following day got a strong variable S.E. wind, which lasted for six days. On the evening of the Gth instant sighted Capo Farewell, from thence experienced strong east and northeastly winds, ivith thick dull weather aud rain, up to arrival as given above. The Cloud brings one- passenger and a full cargo of coal consigned to her owner, Mr J. H. Vauticr. The launch Bella brought in a load of tallow this morning from the Olive boilingdown works, which she transhipped to the barquo Candidate iv the roadstead. The three Wairoa steamers arc telegraphed as having arrived there at an early hemr this morning.

The Union Company's s.s. Southern Cross, Captain AJlmaii, left Auckland at 10 o'clock last night, and is due here on Thursday next.
